About City
Manila, officially the City of Manila, is the Philippines' capital and second- populous city. It is densely populated and was the world's most densely populated city proper as of 2019. Because its commercial networks were the first to expand across the Pacific Ocean and connect Asia with the Spanish Americas, Manila, along with Mexico City and Madrid, has been regarded as one of the world's earliest global cities. The Pasig River divides the city into north and south parts as it flows through the heart of the city.
Manila is known as one of Asia's best shopping destinations. Divisoria and Lucky Chinatown are two of the city's most well-known shopping destinations. The city's biggest shopping mall is Robinsons Place Manila. The National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Anthropology, the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Planetarium are all part of the National Museum Complex of the National Museum of the Philippines, which is located in Rizal Park. Many Taoist and Buddhist temples, such as Seng Guan Temple and Ocean Sky Chan Monastery, serve the city's Chinese Filipino community's spiritual needs.
